Chamber Welcomes New Board Members
Rodger C. Smith serves as Assistant Director (University Relations) for The Ohio State University at Mansfield. Originally from Columbus, Rodger moved to Mansfield in 1983 and has worked at the campus for 26 years. He holds a master’s degree in higher education administration from The Ohio State University. Rodger has served as past-president of three organizations: the Mansfield Symphony Society Board of Directors, the Mansfield/Richland Incubator Board of Directors, and the Leadership Unlimited Alumni
Board. He has also been involved in community theater in north central Ohio, having participated in 12 Rehab Town Roasts, as well as theater productions at OSU Mansfield and the Mansfield Playhouse. In 1992, Rodger was named Honorable Mention for The Ohio State University Citizenship Award for volunteer service to a non-profit organization. In 2009, he received the Outstanding Staff Award from The Ohio State University at Mansfield.
Karl Milliron is President of Milliron Auto Parts, Inc. in Mansfield, Milliron Auto Recycling in Newark, Salvage Vehicle Resource Center, Inc. in Shelby and Midwest Automotive Trucking, LTD in Mansfield. Prior to his current positions, he was Secretary/Treasurer of Milliron Auto Parts, Inc. Karl is a graduate of Shelby Senior High School, and Ohio University in Athens where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Management. Karl is currently or has previously served on the boards of:
the Ohio Auto & Truck Recyclers Associations, United Recyclers Group, Midwest Automotive Recyclers Group, North Central Ohio Claims Adjusters, Automotive Service Association of Ohio, Richland County Visioning Board, Richland County Business Advisory Council, Shelby Chamber of Commerce, Shelby Junior Achievement, Rehab Center of North Central Ohio, Dayspring, Braintree and Friendly House. Karl has been an Ohio resident for 44 years. He is married to Jill.
Brian Schmidt is Vice President of Business Development for Schmidt Security Pro. Brian grew up in the Mansfield area, attending church at Mansfield United Methodist and graduating from Lexington High School. Brian is a member of the Mansfield Kiwanis Club, the Mansfield University Club, the State and National Electronic Security and Life Safety Associations, and the American Society for Industrial Security. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Toledo. Brian is active in the Security Industry and is currently on the Board of the Ohio Electronic Security and Life Safety Association. He enjoys skiing, golfing and spending time with his wife Krista and daughter Ella.
